Based on a polymetric rhythm (3,3,2,2,3,3,2,2,3,3) from Carl Orff's Music for Children and co-written by members of the San Francisco Orff Course Level 2, August 2008. Orff included many unspecified rhythmic motives in his volumes to be used by future composers. We were assigned a rhythm, a mode and a season and asked to create a piece for Orff instruments and to choreograph it.
The original composition featured a trio of female singers improvising wordless atmospheric vocals which I attempted to re-create with the bowed vibraphone
