This is a crude midi rendering of a piece for piano, harp, violin and viola (string players also bow a vibraphone in one movement)

Tonally, this is a variation on the Hemispheres system of deriving mutually exclusive pitch sets. In this cast the 12 chromatic pitches are divided into 3 partially overlapping hexatonic scales. Each part has some unique pitches but also shares one with the the other two parts. Although there are 4 players, this piece is conceived as a trio with the two string players being treated as one voice.
